Introduction
At the Extraordinary General Meeting of Lafarge Zambia Plc (“Lafarge” or “The Company”), held on 09 December 2021 (the “EGM”), the following special resolution was duly passed by Lafarge shareholders:
1. RESOLVED Lafarge will change its name to Chilanga Cement Plc (“CHILANGA CEMENT”).
Registration with the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (“PACRA”) The new name of the Company, Chilanga Cement PLC, has been registered with PACRA as of 13 December
2021.
Effective Date of the change of name on the LuSE
The new name will come into effect on the LuSE on Monday 10 January, 2022.
Abbreviated name of the Company on the LuSE (stock code)
On the LuSE Automated Trading System (“ATS”), the company will trade under the new stock code of (“CHILANGA CEMENT”) from Monday 10 January 2022.
Instructions and Procedure to change existing share certificates
If you are a shareholder and hold share certificates bearing the name Lafarge Zambia Plc, then you must contact Stockbrokers Zambia Limited or any member broker of the LuSE and obtain guidance and assistance on how to replace your existing share certificates.
